Darauf hat die Welt gewartet: nach Gerüchten über Laptops, die samt fast fertigen Aufnahmen, danke Streitereien in Pools versenkt wurden, erscheint es jetzt doch noch – “Blood Pressures“, das vierte Album von The Kills! Am 4. April soll es soweit sein, heute gibt es schon die Trackliste:

Aufgenommen wurde das Album in Michigan bzw. in London, zusammen mit Bill Skibbe und Jessica Ruffins, Jamie Hince übernahm neben seiner Bandposition auch noch die Produzentenrolle ein – hier ein Statement der Kills zu den Aufnahmen:
“…Whilst in Michigan, Alison went through 52 blank cassette tapes in her 4-track recorder. Jamie brought 3 guitars and a mellotron. The studio dogs ate 360 pounds of dog food. We drank all the red wine, watched VHS tapes of Vietnam, got blown down the street by hurricane force winds, watched lightning storms, rode bicycles/crashed bicycles. We started a game of rummy and never finished it. We tried to bbq and realized we weren’t that way inclined. Soup was better. Soup is better. And so it went, the record was completed. . . but not in Michigan! We finished the last few songs in London with our Michigan friends and Alison found a dog to borrow to have at the studio to make things more ‘normal.’ Does this sound confusing? Good.”
Eine Tour ist auch schon geplant – für Deutschland sieht es dabei allerdings relativ schlecht aus, nur für einen einzigen Termin hat es gereicht:
