“not being sure about how obvious it is. or isn’t. but to me this is a very sad song. the foundation of “Taxis” is that feeling of complete annihilation of self, sometimes caused by betrayal. a thousand scenes are playing in your head at once and you feel like your bowling inside your own body. with no self-confidence left. only way to escape is to find the humor in it. to be able to see yourself from an eagles perspective while patiently waiting for your own desperation to settle. stop imagining that things will come back at you. not even a dance. and that it might be ok like that.”
