Pünktlich zum 15. Jahrestag ihrer allerersten EP-Veröffentlichung legt Hanne Hukkelberg ihre nächste Single vor: Stardust! Damit knüpft die Norwegerin an ihr fünftes Studioalbum an, das 2017 erschienen ist. Komponiert und aufgenommen wurde Stardust in Los Angeles, wobei ihr als Co-Autorinnen die Norwegerin Halie sowie Victoria Zaro und Brittany B aus den USA zur Seite standen. Sie selbst ist dabei nicht nur am Mikrofon zu hören, sondern übernahm auch die Produktion des Songs. Gemeinsam bricht das Songwriter-Team in eine ganz neue Richtung auf, ohne dabei den Trademark-Sound von Hanne Hukkelberg aus den Augen zu verlieren; stattdessen erweitern sie die klangliche Palette um einen grandiosen Refrain (beigesteuert von Victoria Zaro) und um Elemente, die an Ravel erinnern…

“The video was made almost like an incident. My studio neighbor is an excellent video and visuals- guy – cockoo AKA Andreas Paleologos, and i just talked to him about making a really simple video, a one-take, almost like a oslo-east-earea-comercial. Its an area where we’ve partied a lot and a place not typical to show off. still it has is charm with all its doodles and grafittis paintings by the river an close by blå, one of my favorite club in Oslo, and a place it feels like i grew up musically. I even had my exam concert there. The song is about how we tend to escape emotionally when we’re sad or could need a talk with a friend. I at least recognize this in my self, and the song is about all the small things i can go felly deep into, to avoid thinking of the my real problem. And this video is just trying to capture a real time clip of how that would look. The real me trying to escape my real thoughts and trying to hook my thoughts onto something else, by the river. Somehow the way Andreas films, I dont know I you get sure of if the film is forward or backwards, right?”
