Es braucht ein gehöriges Maß an künstlerischer Finesse und Ausdruckskraft, um aus so etwas einfachen wie dem Bemalen beschlagener Fensterscheiben Songs zu entwickeln, die die Welt bedeuten können. Dem ätherischen Dream Pop von Blaue Blume ist das bislang immer wieder gelungen, seit dieser 2015 auf dem Debüt Syzygy bereits in Vollendung präsentiert wurde. Die vier Dänen entwerfen Elegien von einer Wärme und Weite, in die sich Menschen mit geschlossenen Augen fallen lassen können, ohne je den Boden zu erreichen. Blau ist die Farbe des endlosen Ozeans, die der Sehnsucht und tatsächlich auch dieser Musik. Umso schöner, dass die Band nun mit Lovable die zweite Single aus ihrem neuen Album, das noch im Spätherbst erscheinen soll, veröffentlicht. Sänger Jonas Holst Schmidt sagt über den Song, dessen Video heute bei uns Premiere feiert: “I’m not sure what this song is about. Maybe it has something to do with seeing yourself from the outside and realising that you have been misunderstood. That the image you had of the way you walked, the way you smiled at others, talked to them, the way you laughed or the way you cried didn’t coincide with how you were seen through other people’s eyes. You were someone else than the person you had felt you were and you thought you were seen and loved for being. You could see this, it was crystal clear.” 

Über das Video ergänzt er: “I have a massive slowmotion-video archive on my iphone that document everything from the movement of fish in water to breathing chests and eyes behind lids stirring in reveries. MayaSB thought it was necessary to implement some of the footage in this video. From an objective perspective it tells the story of an outcast living among sheep. The pulse of the song draws a fragmented heart in the foreground.”
