Letzte Woche war es soweit: mit dem ersten neuen Song Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You) schickte die britische Indie-Band Bombay Bicycle Club das erste neue Lebenszeichen seit ihrem gefeierten #1 Album So Long, See You Tomorrow aus – nun folgt die Ankündigung ihres neuen Albums, sowie das offizielle Video zur ersten Single! Everything Else Has Gone Wrong wird am 17. Januar 2020 via Caroline International erscheinen, wurde größtenteils in den USA mit Grammy-Gewinner John Congleton (St. Vincent / Sharon van Etten / The War on Drugs) produziert und ist das mittlerweile fünfte Studioalbum in der nunmehr 10jährigen Bandhistorie. Den Albumtitel erklärt Sänger und Gitarrist Jack Steadman so: „This is an album for anyone who’s ever turned to music in a time of need. It’s about the solace once can get from listening to music or playing music. For me personally it’s about the frustration of not being able to express myself to others, of leaving conversations feeling dissatisfied and misunderstood but relying on music to communicate.”

Beim Video zur aktuellen Single führte Louis Bhose Regie, der sich vom einstigen Tour-Keyboarder der Band zum Go-To-Regisseur der britischen Alternative-Szene entwickelt hat und unter anderem Videos für Michael Kiwanuka & Tom Misch, Lewis Capaldi, Loyle Carner oder The Big Moon gemacht hat. Gedreht wurde es in der Ukraine.
