Seit der Veröffentlichung des Debüt-Minialbums Love Is The Key to the City in 2018 sorgt das in London ansässige Alternative-Pop-Duo Jockstrap bzw. Georgia Ellery und Taylor Skye für Trubel, Lobeshymnen und auch einen kleinen Hype – der nun noch größer werden soll! Denn wie das Duo gerade bekannt gab, haben sie nun einen Deal mit dem renommierten Label Warp Records unterzeichnet, aktuell wird fleißig an neuer Musik für eine noch nicht näher beschriebene Veröffentlichung gearbeitet, die noch dieses Jahr via Warp erscheinen soll und zumindest einen ersten Vorgeschmack gibt es schon in Form der ersten neuen Single Acid!

Über Acid sagt Ellery: “Acid is a track for my brother. It’s expansive, vibrant and filled with love. Taylor designed this beautiful sound world: I sent him a 6/8 ballad and he sent me back this other worldly thing.” Skye fügt hinzu: “Georgia sent me this swooning, expressive, tender piano demo and I did my best to match it. It was real fun to produce. I feel like this is the most uplifting song we’ve made so far – it almost has summer vibes.”
