Über den Song sagt die Band selbst: “’Kinda Feels Alright’ explores the idea of acceptance after a relationship ends, and the unexpected silver lining of having more time for other people in your life. I specifically remember walking home alone after a great night with friends, when my ex crossed my mind and old feelings came rushing back. But after a moment, I thought about the night and how happy I was and how happy I could be. I realized that I was in a good place and felt alright.”
