Gwendolyne Lewis hat Erfahrung mit verschiedenen Kulturen, ist sie doch die Tochter eines Briten und einer Chinesin, aufgewachsen in den Vororten von Toronto. Dort saugte sie frühzeitig Einflüsse von Led Zeppelin bis Blondie auf, um daraus ihren ganz eigenen 80er-Synth-Rock-Mix zu kreieren. Diesen veröffentlichte sie dann 2018 als DYLYN in Form der Debüt-EP Sauvignon In a Kimono – inklusive dem viralen Hit Secret, der besonders in der lebhaften Gacha Life Anime Community mit seinen etwa 10 Millionen aktiven Nutzern Anklang fand.

Nun ist endlich die Zeit für neues Material der jungen Alternative-Pop Newcomerin – heute erscheint ihre neue Single Something to Lose als Vorbote einer neuen EP. Über den neuen Song sagt sie selbst: “There seems to be a theme of an underlining darkness in this song, and most of the new record. I’ve enjoyed bringing out other characters that live within my spirit.  It’s nice to dance along the dark side at times. The song was born from a romance that eventually bloomed into a relationship.  At the time, my heart was healing so it was a safe, trusting space where love could flourish.” Das Video dazu feiert bei uns exklusiv Premiere!
