Erst im Mai haben wir euch an dieser Stelle den neuen Song von Hayden Calnin präsentiert, gemeinsam mit Harrison Storm. Der Singer-Songwriter aus Australien hat uns schon damals begeistert und veröffentlicht heute eine tolle Akustik-Version seines Songs Breathe Again. 2015 trat Storm auf der Bildfläche auf und veröffentlichte seine erste EP Sense of Home. Ein typischer Troubadour, der seine College-Karriere sehr schnell an den Nagel gehangen hat und sich ganz der Musik verschrieben hat. Es folgte eine zweite EP und weitere Hits, die ihn auf Bühne neben Künstler wie Snow Patrol, Tash Sultana, Gregory Alan Isakov, The Cat Empire, The Paper Kites und The Head and the Heart brachte. Nun aber also ganz intim. Über den Song erzählt der Künstler folgendes:

“During the lockdown in May, I recorded the acoustic version of ‘Breathe Again’ with my housemate and longtime collaborator Hayden Calnin in our home studio. That was after a month or so of being stuck inside.  So, getting into the studio and being able to create felt incredibly freeing. I think that energy really came out in the recording. A sort of desperation in the vocals tied in with the beauty of the instrumentation. A lot of pent up energy was released those few days and to have Crotty’s beautiful cello playing on this track was the icing on the cake”.
