Zuletzt wussten wir schon über den britischen Newcomer Alfie Templeman zu seiner diesjährigen EP Happiness In Liquid Form zu berichten, dass die Hype-Wellen in UK schon aus beachtlicher Höhe brechen und man den kreativen Multiinstrumentalisten auf jeden Fall auf dem Newcomer-Radar haben sollte! Mit gerade mal 7 Jahren hat Alfie angefangen Drums zu spielen, sich selbst Gitarre beigebracht, mit 13 folgten dann Bass und Production – früh übt sich eben! Und weil Alfie im Lockdown wahrscheinlich auch nicht viel mehr zu tun hat, als seinen musikalischen Output voranzutreiben, veröffentlicht er nach seiner EP und der neuen Single Forever Isn’t Long Enough heute auch gleich den nächsten neuen Song: Shady! Dieser wurde von niemand geringerem als Tom McFarland von Jungle produziert und darin geht es darum, sich von negativen Einflüssen abzuschotten…oder wie Alfie es selbst erklärt: „It’s about trying to stay true to myself, doing what I wanna do in my life and trying to avoid all the arguments and shady people that come with it. No more negativity, more making sense of the past and enjoying what the present has to offer.”

McFarland fügt über die Zusammenarbeit hinzu: “Working with Alfie on this track was really fun. We started collaborating together on Shady, as lock-down hit the UK, so everything was very uncertain and weird but making music always helps you through those times. He’s a great kid with undeniable talent and I think this song really shows the world where he is heading artistically. I was very humbled that he wanted to work with me and that he was such a big fan of Jungle. It’s a privilege to work with people that you respect.”
